Our mission is to take you on an exciting journey into a world where creativity is just as uninhibited as it ought to be. Through the GODS OF OUR FATHERS brand, we’re going to tell you stories that are centred on three things; truth in history, an understanding of the present, and possibilities of what could be. Our stories will be presented through products and experiences, layered with many subtle details that will require you to pay attention, to sometimes engage in very interesting conversations and other times share knowledge with one another and with us too.
In the first volume of our journey, we present “THE DESCENT”, an imagined story of an ancient time when gods were forced to come down to the earth realm and fight alongside men. The story however presents something more than fiction, as it prompts us all to reflect on very common actions, feelings and thoughts that we all share in our daily lives.

THE DESCENT
Vol. 1
The high priests of the temple gathered in the courtyard at dawn, even before the sun had cast its first glow in the sky. Although the movements were slow and the voices hushed almost to an inaudible murmur, the temple was filled with a palpable energy. Out in the lower courts, the solemn songs began. A progression of hymns accompanied by the rituals of sprinkling sacred water and dried petals on the ground as the priests moved in a slow procession around the inner walls of the court.
In the middle courts, the cardinals burnt incense and sacred herbs, offering the smoke up to the gods, while the chief priests in the inner court sat in circles, offering prayers in a sort of enchanting unison. Servants of the chief priests stood in their marked positions, waiting to be beckoned, but the cardinals remained joined to their task with unwavering focus. The sun was beginning to mark its presence in the distant skies, and the darkness of dawn’s last moments began to fade.
On this day, a spirit messenger from the kingdom temple of Namkr’et was to deliver an urgent message from the gods.

Our debut range is presented as a collection of six unisex fragrances. Each fragrance is pulled directly from a chapter of the first volume of THE DESCENT and adds a sensory edge to the story as it is being told.

Our story begins with this bold fragrance which offers deep notes of Incense, Tobacco and Oriental spices, softened with Vanilla and a blend of dried red fruits.
Presented in a structural cube-shaped glass bottle, the design is a nod to the concept of a temple, where prayers are usually offered, often accompanied by ritualistic acts such as the burning of incense, kneeling, bowing or genuflecting and more. This design carries on through the entire collection, where it then becomes a nod to a room, within whose proverbial four walls, stories of old are archived and passed down through generations by custodians of recorded events.

An ethereal blend of sweet Vanilla, Saffron, spiced herbs and light woods. This fragrance is intriguingly bold in its softness, in a way that perfectly captures the essence of its name. A soft whisper to a powerful king can be significant of many things, power, control and trust being a few of them. The character of “A Whisper To The King” is unusual. It’s striking and leaves a lasting impression on both its wearer and everyone around.

Penance must be true, in intention and action. This is the idea behind “A Sacred Atonement”, a wildly audacious fragrance with Amber, Pineapple and a blend of Tobacco and dark resins. The olfactive diary of this fragrance is based on those extra nice words and gestures we use in prayer when we have erred, or when showing remorse to friends, family or lovers. It’s that extra sweetness we hope will douse the bitterness.
